One of our options is an open trough, six-inch gutter system.  When installing this gutter without a cover, which is not recommended, the homeowner must commit to getting them cleaned multiple times each year.  The frequency depends on how many trees surround the home.

This choice of white on white was a great call by the homeowner!

Gary was looking to update some damaged gutter but also realized the best move was to change the entire home to something more aesthetically pleasing.  He didn't have any trees around the home, so he decided to go with a six-inch black gutter.  We love the way it turned out.

For homes that are newer or have recently added gutters, we get a lot of questions about how to solve clogged gutter problems.  If you don't need to replace your entire gutter system, we only suggest one gutter guard, and that is Rain Drop Pro Gutter Guard for its durability and gutter protection abilities.  

In Jill's case, she had added six-inch gutters only a few years back and they were in good condition.  Rain Drop was the way to go.

Unfortunately, when you are adding a guard you sometimes run into unexpected issues.  In this situation, we found the highest run of the gutter to be sagging and holding water due to an improperly pitched long run of the gutter.  The facia board had started to rot, and we wanted to make sure that we didn't leave that problem for Jill to deal with later.

If we can't solve the problem ourselves, will have trusted experts that we recommend who will.  We ended up getting all the wood rot replaced, and added a new top run of Gutter Shutter to finalize the project.
