Gutter Shutter of the Triangle Case Studies: Commerical Downspout Renovation
Challenge
Sometimes thinking outside the box is absolutely necessary when working on a project that the property manager or owner just doesn't know how to fix. In this setting, a commercial property was going through a renovation, and needed new downspouts connected to previous commercial downspouts. In this situation, the project manager needed color matched downspouts to drop into corrugated piping ground drains. We ran into design challenges, but also years and years of buildup in the old downspouts that needed to be addressed.
Solution
We identified that our wide mouth outlets that we use for Gutter Shutter and Rain Drop full gutter installations is how we could connect the old downspout connections to the new. We modified these to fit like a glove and cleared out all the old downspout connections to solve all the water remediation issues.
